Swimming Lessons

St Fiacc’s Swimming Club offer weekly lessons on Sunday mornings between 9 and 11am, based on the Swim Ireland Learn to Swim Programme. There are 9 levels from Level 0 beginners in the toddler pool to level 8 which prepares the swimmers for club trials.  Level 1 and 2 classes have assistants in the water to physically help the learners.

All our teachers hold Swim Ireland Level 1 and Level 2 Teaching Qualifications have completed Child Safeguarding courses and are Garda Vetted.

Our lessons run each term similar to the school calendar, the next 12 week block of Sunday morning childrens’ lessons will run from January 7th 2024.

New Swimmers

If you are registering your child for lessons for the first time please register them at the correct level. There are 9 levels, ranging from Level 0 to Level 8. Please consult the guide here and register your child for the level that best describes their current standard of swimming. If there are no places left in the level that best describes your child’s current ability then please do not register them in another level.

On the first day of lessons, the swim coaches will assess all new children and if they have been registered at an incorrect level your money will be refunded and registration cancelled. Unfortunately, this is necessary as it is not possible to provide a high-quality swim teaching environment with children of mixed abilities in the same group
